Angel's Eye Photography . . . .

I know that some of you are not facebook addicts (like me), so I thought you might like to see some of the photography work I've been privileged to work on the last few months. I have a few weddings under my belt and have really been enjoying working with High School Seniors this past year to create their senior portraits. Although I still feel like I'm barely getting my feet wet and have SO much to learn still, I have been having a blast and am honored that these families have trusted me to capture their "life's moments". Happy Birthday to my MAN!

For Galen's 40-something b-day, I bought him tickets to one of his favorite musicians, Phil Keaggy. This guy is AMAZING (and so is Galen of course)! Playing a mean guitar, (with only 9 fingers!) and recording and laying track upon track to create musical masterpieces. The sheer joy on his face while he rocks out is so fun to experience. The Chapel "Barrington Kids Day"

All 5 campuses of The Chapel (our church) had their own "Kids' Day". It was a fun event with inflatables for the kids to jump on, cotton candy, a reptile show and "Gibby" from Nickelodeon's ICarly show. At our Barrington Campus, we had around 350+ people come visit and enjoy the festivities. Here are some pictures of the event! We even had a visit from Shrek and Captain Jack Sparrow (aka Captain Galen Thomas). It was fun getting dressing Galen up and gluing braided hair to his real goatee. For Galen's b-day the previous week, I had bought tickets to see Phil Keaggy so Galen had to do a quick wardrobe and make-up change in the car on the way to the concert.

Happy 1st Birthday Che!

Yes, I am one of those "cat ladies" that celebrates her kitty's birthday. Since we got him in January he has been a true joy! I love this guy! On March 10th, he celebrated his 1st birthday. We sang to him (although he just hid under the bed during that serenade) and Micah and Sienna gave him some fun cat toys on a stick. Che has been such a great cat! He's a snuggler and lap cat and loves playing with his pipe cleaners, especially fetch! He even wants to play when I'm in the tub, dropping them in my bubble water and waiting for me to toss them as far as I can. Since spring has arrived, he has been very interested in the bird population through the window . . . we hear him "talk" to them every now and then. He has one friend named Scooter who lives 2 doors down. Scooter is an indoor/outdoor cat and comes visits Che at night by the sliding glass door. They chat a bit through the glass and Che seems very intrigued by his new pal. For his birthday I bought Che a suede black collar with his name in rhinestone crystals. Yes, he is loved and spoiled. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHE!!!

Night time is for SLEEPING . . .

We thought that when Sienna finally slept in her bed all night, it would be smooth sailing for us to get a good night's sleep. WRONG - then we got a cat. Apparently they are nocturnal (and that is definitely the case with our little guy, Che). Che has a fascination with pipe cleaners. You know the little fuzzy wiry things that kids make crafts out of? Che loves them . . . he considers it his personal duty to gather every pipe cleaner he can find in the house and bring it to his loving mommy at 3 a.m. to play with. He sneaks into the kids rooms at night and brings any piece of pipe cleaner he can find, jumps on the bed, and lays next to me batting my hand and the pipe cleaner to see if I'll wake up and play with him. I've thrown them off the bed, but apparently he is part dog and plays fetch. Finally after an hour of this, I started taking each piece he brought to me and hiding it under the covers to prevent him from "playing". I woke up this morning to find this massive ball of pipe cleaners under the covers with me.

Fun, fun, fun . . .

There is always fun and laughter going on in the Thomas Household. It is such a joy to hear kids hysterical with laughter as they play with Galen or just crack each other up. There was rip roaring laughter as Micah gave Sienna her 1st piggy back ride. Micah was thrilled he is "big" enough to actually carry her on his back and not buckle under the weight! HA!



Micah also has been very interested in Origami at school. It is used to help the kids develop their fine motor skills (folding the paper). I got him a book for Christmas and this was his result today. At least he's folding the paper (I think). . .

Sienna's 1st day of school!

After much anticipation, Sienna started preschool on January 4th. Although I miss my little appendage, she is having a blast and big brother Micah has been showing her the ropes. Since she is the littlest student in class, the other students have been a tremendous help in showing her the how to's of preschool. Congrats my baby! And YAY ME! 2 1/2 hours 3 days a week free!!!!!!
